Beijing Olympic 2008 Finally Singapore has won an Olympic medal and its sliver. Thanks to our Woman's Table Tennis team, history is made. It has been 48 years since Sinagpore have won an Olympic medal.The Olympics is originated in Greece in 776 BC. In Olympic, athletes from all over the world gather together to compete against each other. It also tests the athletes sportmanship. I have been watching the Olympics since it started. I like the watching shows that involves sport,esp. soccer. But i don't like the soccer in the Olympics.(dunno why?)My favourite event is the track and field events and the swimming events.Micheal Phelps is my idol in the Olympic. He broke the record of winning 8 Gold medal. He also broke 7 world record and 1 olympic record in the swimming events. I really hope that i can participate in the track and field events in the olympics.I want to participate in this event because i like running and i hope i could break Usain Bolt's record of 9.69.It is worth hosting the Olympics. It can attract many people to come to that country. It also bring fame to the country and it tells everybody that this country does exist. For example Singapore, not many people know what or where Singapore is on the map.
